So the electric Mini is going to be cheaper than ICE Mini  8) it's a very popular car over here, we should start to see plenty of them on our roads over time.

Not sure about manufacturers discounting EV but they all seem to be much more competitive and at price parity.

Just scale discounts to get the true parity price, or even lower?

So it is related to the Cooper which I've seen around, I've heard the Cooper is a pretty good car although I've never cared much about them because of their looks I think.  Pricing and mileage both seem good.

Just going to pop this little story into here.

It seems like they are coming out with a lot of EV's with plenty of range and some pretty nice looking cars.  I got into the EV's earlier than I had wanted to because of problems with the Malibu and would have liked to put it off for a few years and get a higher range EV.  But actually after having the Leaf for months I find the trickle charge overnight to be simple enough and charging every 2 weeks is no bother.

Range was never an issue for me, I used to put £20 of fuel in to my ICE car, that would give me just over 100 miles around town, the Leaf does roughly the same miles per charge but for far less money ( free if you know where to go ).

It's the cost of running an EV that must not be overlocked, a saving of £2000 a year is easily reachable. People should take that into account when buying an EV.

Right now is the golden age, once there are many more EV's on the road the saving will diminish, less free chargers and more tax on electricity will surely come.

With the Malibu I got about 18 in the warmer months but it dropped to 12 or so in the winter, small tank so I got 180 to 120 miles per fill up.  I did the repairs myself and saved money there.
