Yep, well done mate, it's one of my favourite tunes of his too, surprisingly few lyrics in the song. It was playing in a shop I was in the other day, knew I had to use it in this thread.

Freddy

Here's one :

QuoteI went down to the Chelsea drugstore
To get your prescription filled
I was standing in line with Mr. Jimmy
And man, did he look pretty ill

Freddy

Clue time.

Do they gather no moss ?

Data

A Rolling Stones song maybe  :scratch-head:

You can't always get what you want ?

It was the clues that gave it to me, really didn't know them lyrics were even in the song.

Will see if I can come up with a new one later.

I finally got a song to put in, a bit old.
"Got to give myself a good talking to this time
Need a little brain salad surgery
Got to kill this insecurity"
Good luck

Same here, not a clue on this one, I'm, wondering if it made it over here in the UK.

Possibly not all that popular here either, parts of the country probably never heard of him.  Well known and respected jazz singer from New Orleans.  I like his music and voice.  Give you guys a few more days.

90% of the jazz I listen to these days is instrumental, or has very obscure lyrics, so I'm not going to be very helpful here. Sorry.
Safe, Reliable Insanity, Since 1961!

The only Jazz man I think I know from there is Louis Armstrong, but I am only familiar with his well known songs.

Was Fats Domino another New Orleans guy ?

Like Dave, I do enjoy some instrumental Jazz occasionally.
