In that case it's Gary Moore, Wild Frontier. :D

I've never heard the song, not that I can remember, and please forgive me but I haven't even heard of Gary Moore.

Re the Thin Lizzy connection, was he a guitarist for the band?

Freddy

Yes he played guitar for them for a while on different occasions.  Also well know as a solo artist.  Axe legend, blues...that kinda thing.

He died in February  :(

Snowcrash

I've been trying to rack my brain for Phil Lynot songs.  :-\

I do know Garry Moore but not this track.

Been trying to think of a dance track to put in here but saying
do you know the one that goes...
na-naa na-naa na-nat-na-nat na na-na-na-na doesn't quite work.  ???

And I wish I named this thread '80s music videos'
"I cannot remember the books I've read any more than the meals I have eaten; even so, they have made me."

Ralph Waldo Emerson

I had a feeling he might have died after reading some of the comments under the video on YouTube. RIP Gary.

Yeah! Snowy dance tracks might not be that easy to do, I bet if you keep racking that brain something will come out

This one is too easy, absolutely no google allowed. I will know if you've cheated  ;)

I feel I should know this but can't fit a tune to it in my head yet.

"I cannot remember the books I've read any more than the meals I have eaten; even so, they have made me."

Well, that was easy, all ways round
It WILL be fine !...

Data

That's it Diesel, and no cheating either

Snowcrash you can kick yourself for not knowing that.

Snowcrash

Kicking myself and waiting with bated breath to see Diesel's lyrics.
"I cannot remember the books I've read any more than the meals I have eaten; even so, they have made me."

Ok Snowcrash, hold tight, here we go.

I have been trying to think of something that may be ironic, so here goes:-

The crowd roared as they started to race,
Around the track they drove at a deadly pace.
It WILL be fine !...

Data

Thought I had this one

Yello "The Race"

But sadly not correct  :(

Snowcrash

I'm attacking the illusion but the stopping drives me mad.

I need it and I want it but I haven't got a clue.

I do believe these are 2 lines from 'The Race'
"I cannot remember the books I've read any more than the meals I have eaten; even so, they have made me."

Ok, here's a little more:-

No one knows what happened that day
How his car over turned in flames
It WILL be fine !...

Snowcrash

Still none the wiser. So googled it.

Supprisingly I do actually know this song. Ricky Valance, Tell Laura I Love Her.
What decade is this from? 60s I assume.

With these lyrics I shall drag this thread into the 90s

Sonically we're in control
We're the diamond in your soul
"I cannot remember the books I've read any more than the meals I have eaten; even so, they have made me."

Ralph Waldo Emerson

Diesel

The 60's indeed. Although the answer is correct, the video is not as it is a cover version. However, as no video is available of Richie Valance actually performing this song, given that he died with Buddy Holly and The Big Bopper, well done Snowcrash. Now, where are my list of 90's lyric's, oh yes, I remember, on Google. ;)
It WILL be fine !...
