I can't hold back on Data's song. That's gotta be I like driving in my car by Madness.

I'm torn between two songs from the same band/artist. I'm going for the more obscure though they were both singles.

I'm thinking the clue could allude to Cat Stevens but I don't know any of his songs.. Didn't he become a Buddhist or something and change his name ?

Feline = Cat
Rocket designer without son = Stephenson('s Rocket) ... without son = Stevens ( I hear )

That must have been a good clue, I say that because me and my other half worked it out too, like Freddy but also like Freddy we don't know the name of any of his songs.

So here is the next best thing 

I'm not a Cat Stevens fan either. The only song I know is 'the first cut is the deepest'

But this one is 'Father and Son'. Yes, I googled it.

I found quite a few Tones On Tail tracks on Youtube, didn't expect that.

I see that this thread has been a little quiet for a while and, indeed Data was the last with a correct answer and hasn't posted, so I thought I would.

So, here's goes.

Took me a while to grasp that Snowcrash had answered with more lyrics from the song, I recognised "It's getting kinda late now" more than Diesels clue.

Didn't know that song was called 'Will You' but it's one of those songs that make the hairs on my neck stand up. And I like it.
