Snowcrash

I did know your song Freddy but didn't get it on the lyrics.

I can't hold back on Data's song. That's gotta be I like driving in my car by Madness.

"I cannot remember the books I've read any more than the meals I have eaten; even so, they have made me."

Ralph Waldo Emerson

Snowcrash

I'm torn between two songs from the same band/artist. I'm going for the more obscure though they were both singles.

I could be the catalyst that sparks the revolution
I could be an inmate in a long-term institution

In truth, I'd be the latter  :-\ :P 8) :o
"I cannot remember the books I've read any more than the meals I have eaten; even so, they have made me."

What a Waste?. :scratch-head: What a cracker. I only googled to find the vid, Ian Dury and the Blockheads.

It WILL be fine !...

Diesel

Here's a little number I've always found very thought provoking, although I'm not quite sure what the songs about?. :scratch-head:

From the moments I could talk
                                                            I was ordered to listen.
It WILL be fine !...

#139
Another cryptic clue for you.

Singer.

Rocket designer without his son, is after feline, I hear. ;)
It WILL be fine !...

Freddy

I'm thinking the clue could allude to Cat Stevens but I don't know any of his songs.. Didn't he become a Buddhist or something and change his name ?

Feline = Cat
Rocket designer without son = Stephenson('s Rocket) ... without son = Stevens ( I hear )

Data

That must have been a good clue, I say that because me and my other half worked it out too, like Freddy but also like Freddy we don't know the name of any of his songs.

So here is the next best thing  :D

Snowcrash

I'm not a Cat Stevens fan either. The only song I know is 'the first cut is the deepest'

But this one is 'Father and Son'. Yes, I googled it.  ???

Snowcrash

This one was inspired by Diesel and his cryptic clues thread.

Data will get this but no one else will without Googling, I bet.

You're given two sets of clues
With the answers all the same
And a two-speed crossword
Called 'love in the suds'
"I cannot remember the books I've read any more than the meals I have eaten; even so, they have made me."

Ralph Waldo Emerson

Data

Got this one straight away, I doubt anyone else has even heard of the band let alone the song.

Tones On Tail

War

I found quite a few Tones On Tail tracks on Youtube, didn't expect that.

Diesel

I see that this thread has been a little quiet for a while and, indeed Data was the last with a correct answer and hasn't posted, so I thought I would.

So, here's goes.

You drink your coffee and, I drink my tea, and
We're sitting here all alone thinking, what will be, will be.

To me this is a cracking little ditty.
It WILL be fine !...

Snowcrash

It's getting kinda late now.

Not sure if I remember or not  >:D  :o

Data

Took me a while to grasp that Snowcrash had answered with more lyrics from the song, I recognised "It's getting kinda late now" more than Diesels clue.

A classic 80's song.

Hazel O'Connor - Will you?

Snowcrash

Cool song. I think she did 'Breaking Glass' as well.

Didn't know that song was called 'Will You' but it's one of those songs that make the hairs on my neck stand up. And I like it.

There might be more than one song that has these lyrics, but Im only after the right one  :mutley:
