Those Russian tank and assorted vehicle numbers do raise the eye brows. Slight paranoia there or just always prepared...? Hmm.

The world seems more scary than it should be for the 21st century.

U.S. History tells us, America did not get out of the Great Depression until it entered World War II.

Actually, it wasn't just WWII. The same thing could be said (though to a lesser degree) for WWI,  the Korean war, Vietnam, and even the Civil war (though the start of that war saw a serious economic decline in the beginning. That said, however, the US was stronger at the end of the war than before it began, so the point is still valid)

a little off topic but been thinking, bringing those tanks back is a waste of money. I really don't think there will be another big war. power and control was main reasons for big wars in the past and now a days power and control can be bought  what are your thoughts on this.

You're probably right, but that's not a good thing, as war is a good way to consolidate power, as well.
