Yeah, that's where I saw it but the link above goes to the HD version.

Bit of everything in this video called...

Journey through Canyons

Filmed in Arizona and Utah.

Found another one called Tempest Milky Way.

This was all shot in central South Dakota from June-August, 2011.

That was wonderful, Snowy! Great find!

I took a look at some of Mr. Halverson's other work at http://www.dakotalapse.com and really enjoyed some of his other offerings, like this one:

I hope you enjoy it, too. :)

Found this one filmed in the west country, England.

Called the wagging pole.

That video is stunning, Snowy. Truly a great find; but did you chance to read the text that is posted along with it, over on the Vimeo site? It really gives a feel for what goes into these videos. I highly recommend the read. :)

I did read it and have a feel for it.

I have met several people at star parties who I know the sound of their voice but have no idea what they look like. Stuck in the middle of a field on a moonless night, not being able to see your own hand in front of you.

I have seen many ingenious ways of trying to overcome fogging of lenses and mirrors. The best ones I've seen require battery power and have their own problems.

I've still not solved the time/money problem. I used to have lots of time and no money. I now have a fair bit of money but not enough time. The only solution I can see is to win the lottery. DOH!

I had to go in and view the video on my desktop computer. :( The video came out nothing but bright green artifacture and noise on my laptop.

Some great vids there guys, really impressive.

@Dave sounds like a codec problem but not knowing what codec these vids use makes it almost impossible to trouble shoot.

Did you try turning your laptop off and on again?     ;)

I rebooted, but haven't checked since then, as it's been too cold to stay outside for more than a couple of minutes at a time. I'll check again in the morning (well, later this morning. it's nearly 4AM here, and I'm headed to bed), and see if that (plus an update of Flash) took care of it.

Oddly enough, though, that video was the only one to mess up for me. Dunno.
