Ok, this isn't about the specific eclipse that we just had, but it mentions it, and was SOOOOO hilarious that I had to share. Just please look at it as comedy, rather than the ignorant ravings of an idiot and you'll be just fine. :D

I went through the whole thing Dave, very interesting thanks for putting it in.  Facebook page was good also, almost feel like I've gotten to know you a little.

I found it interesting as well, but not for the content or concept. The fact that some people actually believe this crap just boggles my mind. That entire argument about shadows diverging at greater distances made me both laugh at the screen and shout "science!" at it. His "facts" are accurate, but only from a limited viewpoint. If the light source is smaller than the obscuring object, then sure the shadow will grow with distance. but if the light source is larger? WHOLE different story! And since the Sun is 400 times the size of the Moon, This means a diminishing shadow, not an enlarging one.

Oh crap! you got me started. Here! someone take this soapbox before I start screaming and lose both my voice and my mind. :P :D

Dave I found that video amusing, a good conspiracy theory can make you think  :scratch-head:, yeah make you think how looney (pun intended) some people really are.

Thanks for posting
