Wow! This is a VERY nice resource! Thanks for providing it, Snowcrash.  Data, you never told me that you had an astronomy section.    I would have been visiting months ago!

I'm really miffed there are no viewing times for UK and the ISS+Shuttle this week. Wanted to see the last Shuttle with my own Mk1 eyeballs.  :-X

Hope the times where you are are better. Previous post has the decent links.

THE FOLLOWING ISS SIGHTINGS ARE POSSIBLE FROM FRI JUL 08 TO SAT JUL 23

...

NO SIGHTINGS AVAILABLE

Not so much, no. :(

Several months back, though, we caught a returning shuttle, visible to the naked eye, moving fast, just past sunset. I had only heard about the pass an hour or so before, and got the whole family outside to watch it. My brother, the eternal kill-joy, asked after it was gone, "was that it?"

No sightings here also, we must view it on a similar track. I think it takes another 2-3 weeks from now to come overhead at night.

Some people just don't get dots moving in the sky and fuzzy blobs in telescopes.

I'm still attempting to get a pic of the Orion nebula. Been trying in a half hearted way for years. I know exatly where it is but have never seen it with my own eyes. And I know Hubble and other 'scopes can take far better pics.

Have been trying to track the ISS with a 'scope but the 'scope gets confused which way round it wants to be as the ISS goes overhead. Good detail, not sure what detail you get through bins.

The constellation of Orion is one of my all time favorite night sky observing items. If you drive a few dozen miles out into the desert to the east of here, from late September until mid March, it provides some excellent viewing. I've only seen the nebulae that live in Orion a few times with the naked eye, and fewer still through binoculars (seeing as how I don't own a pair, I suppose), and it's always been a ghostly grey-pink to me, but I try to see it nearly every time. My family thinks I'm weird that I can name all of the bright stars that outline Orion, but I can't remember half of my cousin's names. :-\

Decent viewing times coming round again. Been quite good for the last week or so but all in the wee hours here.

The next best time for Brighton, UK is...

Thu Aug 18        09:29 PM for 6 mins
Sat Aug 20        09:09 PM for 6 mins

Which is typical 'cos I'll be in a different country.

Dave, please feel free to put best times for you in here. The bits to look out for in the tables is max elevation and duration. I tend to only put the times I'm likely to be awake for.

What a shame this couldn't have been last week when the evening skies were clearer. :(
It WILL be fine !...

Snowcrash

Assuming we get some clear skies, the ISS is visible from the UK and PROGRESS46P will be docking with it.
