Freddy

Did anyone like these moody fellows?

Data

Oh yes, me and Snowy were in to Bauhaus, I still listen to them, the band turned in to Tones On Tail and then Love and Rockets, got all their albums  :)

Freddy

I used to think they were the coolest band around. Pete Murphy did some solo stuff too that's good as well. A striking looking person in the same kind of way as Bowie was.

I have a song of his on one of my playlists, I'll try to find it tomorrow.

Data

Ahh yeah Pete Murphy, he used to be in an advert for cassette tapes back in the day as well, yes I know that song  :)

He also made an album (The Waking Hour) with Mick Karn from the band Japan, it's an album with a difference for sure, here is one of the tracks from it.

Freddy

Interesting song, he's done a lot of styles of music.

This is the advert, once you mentioned it I remembered it too.

Snowcrash

You can't mention Pete Murphy and David Bowie in the same sentence and not post this...

"I cannot remember the books I've read any more than the meals I have eaten; even so, they have made me."

Ralph Waldo Emerson

Freddy

Yes that came to mind, great cover  8)

OK here is something a little more ere, something, when I listen to it I think of mother earth, it's quite hard so probably not to all tastes but it seems to fit my mood at the moment.

Carl2

Well back to my oldies, something I enjoyed in long ago days and still like.

Freddy

Quite liked that Data, listened to it a couple of times.

Carl, I have that on one of my playlists. Reminds me of when I was a kid, we used to sing that at school.

Snowcrash

Hi all, just listening to your selections. I have the Paul Hartnol (Orbital) album somewhere.
Some good oldies I've not heard for a while.

Here's 2 new ones I've heard on the radio. Similar themes and I like 'em, hope you do too.

Snowy, the first of the 2 vids doesn't play  :(

I do like the "Trouble Every Day" song, some home truths in there

Had this song going round my head recently, a good blast from the past and I've just noticed that there is a wobble in it too.
